Hello,
I was editing some pictures and my right click button suddenly stopped working anywhere on my laptop.
I have searched the forum for related problems but I have not found a solution.
I have successfully done a system restore (which was a task itself without the right click available) but this has not helped.

Please help.

Thanks

Hi cyril4real, I think you may have a hardware problem, If you feel confident enough to try a repair yourself ,remove the key board then the palmrest and finally remove and resecure the ribbon cable on the touchpad . Sometimes it's as simple as that ;)

Also have an Asus ha1002xp netbook with Win 7 Ultimate installed.
Thanks everyone for the suggestions offered.

I tried scanning for Malware as described but none were found.
I then tried dismantling the laptop to get to the mouse ribbon cable.
Although there was nothing visibly wrong with it, I tapped on it and the right click button started working after I re-coupled the laptop.

Thanks!
