Are the beeps coming from the motherboard?

Fill in your specs with a little more detail and we can look up the code for you. ;)

The Monitor shuts off, while the computer remains on. If I try to turn on the computer immediately after, I will get one long beep and two short beeps. If I wait a few minutes it turns back on with no problems. It is a older AMD x2 4400.

Without knowing what motherboard you have, what video card you have, and what monitor you have, my guess is that something is wrong somewhere. I could probably be more specific if I had a little more to work with.

Run this and see what it gives you for those three items:

I'm getting a mixed message on the type of error, as far as I'm aware it is a phoenix bios, which gives me the error that it is a motherboard issue and it needs to be replaced which I wouldn't do considering the computers age, on the other hand I've read that it's a video card issue and the video card needs to be replaced, which I would go ahead with. As I mentioned when it goes out the computer is still running, while the monitor shuts off. Logical guess is the video card is not sending the signal therefore monitor shuts off, or the video card is over heating, due to fan dying. Which could it be ?

I can't make heads or tails if it's the motherboard or the video card, the video card fan is spinning, it is keeping the video chip cool, if it wasn't spinning it would be a clear sign. Hopefully can someone try to put the spot light on what it is ? I've also ruled out a RAM DIMM that is on deaths door, because of static discharge at times turning off the entire computer, over time just fried a RAM DIMM. I don't really know, this is puzzling.

What I worry the most is one day the computer doesn't turn on, when it does go off the monitor shuts off while everything else continues to operate, strictly resetting the computer (reset button on case) causes the beep code (1 long, two short). Turning the computer off, and back on again, everything boots, fine.

Do you have a good spare PSU you could try? if the one in the computer now is the original it could well be dying on you by this point. Faulty power would cause all of the problems you are seeing now. If nothing else, it's an easy thing to check. :)

The reset button does the same thing as pulling the power cable out while the PC is running. It can cause file corruption and may mess with your hardware too.

The power supply is brand new, you telling me it could be the power supply ? How do you explain why graphics on web pag es don't completely render ?, only half of the graphic is displayed, I can't say it's with all web graphics, as for example, the signatures on this forum, render but other pages have issues. I really don't know this is odd, the only thing I can officially notice is web graphics, not completely displaying as I mentioned. It could be a electric magnetic static issue, and something is slowly dying, hmm.

I said it could be the PSU, assuming it was the original one. Go back and read what I wrote again.

Of course, you could have listed the PSU in your specs, which we have had to drag out of you bit by by and item by item. Would it be so unusual for someone running a system with a CPU which was released in 2007 to have a five year old PSU as well? You didn't mention any of the incomplete graphic rendering until just now, too, so I can't really think of any reason why anyone would have tried to explain that before, either. Were we supposed to guess that was happening?

Look in "My System Specs" at the bottom of one of my posts. If I were to start a thread and say "My monitor shuts off randomly, I get a beep error code, and sometimes graphics don't load completely", people would know right from the start what the problem was and what my hardware I am running. Do you think my chances of getting a quick and helpful suggestion might be better than if I were to dribble that information out piecemeal over the course of several days?

This member has been here for over two years....Started 70 threads, 360+ posts and still no system spec's:confused:....This member is not a n00b, and has some skills, and a large amount of arrogance "System Manufacturer/Model Number IT'S A COMPUTER" . Who else has that for the first line of the spec's? It also shows that He/She can fill out those spec's if they wanted to......Maybe Jerome will fill out the spec's and that will allow any hardware problems to be eliminated, or maybe it's just too much fun to yank peoples chain.....

Hmm, maybe a Linux or Mac user.
