Solved Roads are not visible in nfs hotpursuit

When i launch the game every thing is ok no errors...but when the game starts i cant see any roads or buildings just the cars will be running on a black surface..but the cars are visible clearly...is this a glitch..? And is their a patch to correct it..

Ah, Hot Pursuit, the last decent NFS game they ever made xD
It's quite old, so try running in compatibility mode, and also turn off desktop compositioning

Right click on shortcut or original exe -> Properties -> Compatibility tab

Did you recently update DirectX and/or GPU/sound/chipset drivers? If not, you definitely should.

Thanks for the reply...but I am able to run assansin's creed 2,mw2,at low settings...why not this..i have onboard grphcs of 256mb thats it...!

There's your answer right there. Onboard graphics, i.e. integrated graphics are not designed for video games of any kind. The fact that you may be able to play some games doesn't necessarily mean you can play them all.

Uh Gornot you're kind of mistaken. The OP is referring to Hot Pursuit (2010) not the old Hot Pursuit.

@Vinny - Do the following

1. Download and install Revo Uninstaller Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download - Uninstall software, remove programs, solve uninstall problems (Check out this tutorial Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Uninstall Programs on how to uninstall with it).

2. (Make sure your DVD is clean) Insert the disk into your computer and install Hot Pursuit again.

3. Make sure you update Hot Pursuit to the latest version.

4. Make sure the disk is inserted and run the game.

If you still get the same problem then do this.

a) Update DirectX Download Details - Microsoft Download Center - DirectX End-User Runtime

b) Use the Intel Driver Update Utility Intel® Driver Update Utility to update your chipsets, Intel Graphics ect.

Report back on your success...

Still, with onboard graphics, it doesn't necessarily mean he should be able to play it.

. Just because its integrated graphics, doesn't mean he can't run it. It just means he would need to use a REALLY small resolution and crappy-ish graphics. NFS: Hot Pursuit (2010) isn't that demanding, its pretty well optimized.

I didn't bother to post earlier, but I will now, 'cause I just wanted to say that I personally don't see the point in playing with crappy graphics and a low resolution. I can understand someone wanting to get at least something out of the hardware they have available now, but it's just pointless to me. Suum cuique, I guess
