Hope you can help.

My MicroSD card(s) are not being recognized or picked up by windows.
The all worked a couple of days ago

I have 4 MicroSD cards of different brands and sizes. They all work on my other devices (phone & camera)
I have 2 different card readers, both give the same result.

The Volume is not shown in "My Computer".

I know the cards and readers are working because when i insert them into windows i do the following:

>> Computer >> Manage >> Disk Management. The 'disk' is visible, but i can't do anything with it.

>> Command Prompt >> Diskpart >> list disk. Again the 'disk' is visible, but i can't do anything with it.

>> When i use my camera as a card reader the volume is shown in 'My Computer', but when i try to do anything with it, i get a message that it is write protected. I have tried to remove the protection with 'Diskpart > Attributes' but the problem still persists.

I have updated windows, and updated all my drivers. What could the problem be?
More importantly what is the solution???

Welcome to the forum.

There can be many reasons why you se it at Disk Management but don't at Explorer.
With the Sniping tool take a snapshot of Disk Management (expand the columns so we can read them) and Attach the image here.

Yes,
1. Post a screenshot of Windows Disk Management

2. If you are using a microSD to SD adapter, make sure the Lock switch on the left side of the adapter card is slid up to unlock position. You will NOT be able to modify or delete the contents on the memory card if it is locked.

3. Try your (Card Reader + MicroSD card) on another working computer. Are you able to read and write to it?

4. Do other external HDDs work well on your PC without any problem?
