Run as administrator command has stopped working

Whenever I try to "run as administrator" a .exe file nothing happens aside from the window I was using to browse to the file freezing. Any ideas on what is wrong or how to fix it?

Are trying to run as administrator for command prompt ? Or an application where you right click on the app and choose properties then click the Compatibility tab, and check the option “Run this program as an administrator” in Privilege Level section ?

Have you scanned your computer with an Anti-virus and Anti-malware program?...
