I bought a Dell Inspiron 537ST with Windows 7, 64-bit for my in-laws and ran the basic setup a couple of weeks ago. Everything worked out well, in large part because several of you provided valuable input before the attempt. I'll travel back up there around Christmas to finish tweaking, and will need to apply the critical driver updates at that time. Do I need to add the Run command back to the Start menu, to initialize updates, or does the Start Menu Search Field provide the same capability? I have not seen a direct comparison of those utilities, and can't explore them first-hand, since I'm about 450 miles from the Win7 machine.
Thanks for your help.
