Run with administrative priveledges when using WIN+R
I've noticed when using the
Win + R keyboard shortcut on my account, directly below the input block it shows me a note stating this program will be run with administrative priveledges; is that not the same as right-clicking the Start menu shortcut and selecting 'Run as administrator'?
Note: Post was originally located in and in query to details in the
Elevated Command Prompt tutorial.

I don't have UAC turned on though; nobody else touches my machine and I don't have internet at home, so high security has never really been a priority for me.
I don't log in as 'Administrator' directly, but my personal user account is marked as an admin. A quick Google image search gave me what I needed though; It's not a shot from my PC personally, but my run dialog box looks like this:
I actually tried this last night, taking special note of the folder path that opens when running cmd in different ways; it seems that using the Win+R shortcut doesn't open the same path as location Command Prompt in the Start menu, right-click and 'run as administrator'. Using the Run dialog (seen above) it still shows my user folder as the initial path.
I know I just answered my own question, but I only got to test it last night at home...

Oh I see, I didn't realise that.. I hardly used Vista and I'm still learning the finer details of 7. Thanks.
