I'm hoping someone has an answer for me. I am taking a Geology class and we were given a CD (interactive) when we bought our textbook. Instead of lugging around a CD I'd like to convert the CD into an image I can run off the SD card- if that's possible. Are there any free programs that will let me do this?

The CD is only 698 mb so I have a spare 2gb SD card I could use for this purpose.

your sd card uses flash memory, so keep up with the cd just incase you have sectors fail and have to make a new one.

You can download the Alcohol 120% Trial Version, which can create an ISO of the CD. You can download and run Daemon Tools Lite, which will run the ISO.

Nice. Thank you! I may be back with questions later regarding the Deamon Tools :p

So the key thing is to make an ISO image of the CD? I actually do have a couple of programs that do that. I just wasn't too sure how to run off an ISO image. Thanks again :D

Okay. Solved solved solved. I used a Linux program to make an ISO and then used Daemon Tools to launch the ISO.

Cool. Now I don't have to worry about a scratched disk, broken disk, or misplaced disk. Thanks!
