Running very slow. . .

Not 2 days ago, this computer I am currently on was blazing fast as usual, now since the past 2 days it has been on a horrid roller-coaster spiraling downward to very poor performance.
The mouse jumps around and I must type slowly due to the system continuously missing my keystrokes due to the sudden deteriorization of performance. I'm running a virus scan to see if viruses may be the cause, but I personally think the Processor has reached it's final moments of life.
I don't know what section this was supposed to be in so forgive me if ts section is unsuitable, and also to get past any spelling errors.

The computer has become slow enough at this point resulting in me getting on my Netbook. The quick-scan with Malwarebytes has been going for 50 minutes, when it usually takes around 20 minutes.
It's almost at the hour mark and I have received no help on my problem with my Windows 7 Ultimate x86 PC. Please somebody help. Any suggestions to resolve this issue would be pleasant.

Hang in there the Calvary is coming ! Any more information would be helpful. When and what were you doing when things started to slow? updates, web sites, downloads ? What Antivirus software are you using? Have you tried doing a restore point back 2+ days ago? I've found as well that a restart in safe mode and then running antivirus can also help. Hang in there as more suggestions are on there way !

Now stop and think what has happened in the last 2 days. To make this start to run slow?

Install any programs?
Crusin' the dark side of the web?

If you start in safe mode with networking you should be able to run mbam faster than 50min.

Two, maybe three items stand out.

You only have 1GB ram....Stop all un-necessary start-ups and processes.

You have a flexi, roll-up keyboard. This alone could be causing conflicts...You have mentioned poor keyboard performance.

And you yourself wonder how you even got 7 ultimate to run on this old machine.

Okay, I booted into safe-mode and ran Malwarebytes finding 7 trojans (Internet Explorer Toolbars) that somehow found their way into my system.
It is running as it was 2 days ago now. So all the worry of a dying processor is now gone.
