Runtime Error when uninstalling programs

I get an error message when I try to uninstall HP Photosmart Essential 3.5 and HP Smart Web Printing. I bought a different printer, so I don't need that software anymore.

Here is the message when uninstalling: "Runtime error. This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way." I tried uninstalling through the Control Panel and through the Start Menu programs shortcut. I got the message both times.

Is there a way to uninstall them? Or a freeware program that will work?

I scanned for viruses and the scan was clean.

Also reinstall Download Details - Microsoft Download Center - Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86)

The Hunter Mode didn't work either. It kept saying: "No installation package found!" and "Get more information for the application from the main windows and try to uninstall manually!"

I downloaded the Visual C++ then installed it. It still didn't work.

Try to download the HP software and install it then try to remove it. Because it might replace the missing files.

Sorry I haven't responded sooner. I haven't been feeling well.

The HP site says the software is no longer available for download. It was replaced with a different program. I don't have the CD for it. There are other links for the software, but I'm not sure if they are good.

We have to find that software somehow to download it. It's like reverse engineering since uninstall is not working and there is no uninstaller when we install the program it will replace the bad uninstaller with a good one. Then using that we can remove the program, Does that make sense?
