Save to / Open From RECENT FOLDER function

Is anyone aware of an Windows 7 compatible Save/Open add-in that allows user
to see a list of recently used folders when SAVING or OPENING files from windows dialog boxes?

I've seen version for XP and Vista, but nothing for Windows 7.

Its a very necessary feature unless you like always clicking to get to your stuff is not only annoying, and maddening, but also another cause of Repetitive Stress Injuries.

Anyone?

I see it in my Favorites in explorer. It's called recent places.

I have to be honest, I don't understand what you want.

Save or OPEN in any Window APP and see a list of recently used Folders

I want to be able to go to Save or OPEN in any Window APP and
see a list of recently used Folders where I saved to or Opened files from.

The obvious premise of this functionality is that people tend to go back to the same folders for working on files.

When I am working on a patient's file, I want to avoid having to mouse back through the file system to get to where I saved his/her files.

There is a Program called FolderBuzz that lets you do this in WinXP, but it is poorly designed.

When I tried doing it with a couple different programs and saw Recent Places to the left side of the window and was able to click it. I understand why you want what you do. It would make things a lot more convenient. Would you mind telling me what software you are actually using? It might help me find a work around for you.

Did you ever figure this out? I'm about to lose my mind if I have to click through my entire file structure for a simple save one more time. Not to mention my focus on my projects is always shattered by having to always remember the exact long path.

Also I dont seem to have recent places in my favorite list. If i closed that, how do i get it back?

I am seeing Faves in my Win7 Word 20076 Save user dialogue windows, and inside it recently used places.

I also used a third party program for a while on XP but it was too expensive and did not work with Japanese so I did not buy it when the trial ran out.

I am wondering how to reduce the number of recently used places. There are too many. They go back too far. I bet that there is a registry entry somewhere, or something easier still.
