scannow reports corrupted files on Windows 7 enterprise 64bit, but cannot repair them.

how do I restore corrupted system files? Corrupted files also reported by checkdsk: iertutil.dll, urlmon.dll and wmpps.dll. These files cannot be fixed
by either checkdsk or scannow.

System is still running fine for everything I am doing, but how do I recover these files?

Welcome to Seven Forums xantl. I would start by trying to register these files. If you get an error on trying to register any or all, you can try to fix these error since your system is running ok, but a repair install would be the best way to correct these, and any unknown dll errors you might have, or might experience later.

Start> Type run in search box and press enter> In run dialog type the following, pressing enter after each

regsvr32 iertutil.dll

regsvr32 urlmon.dll

regsvr32 wmpps.dll

For the iertutil.dll error if the register doesn't succeed, replace the file in C:\Windows\System32 with this good file from my system, and then register the dll using method above

For the urlmon.dll if the register doesn't succeed, replace the file in C:\Windows\System32 with this good file from my system, and then register the dll using method above

For the wmpps.dll if the register doesn't succeed, replace the file in C:\Windows\System32 with this good file from my system, and then register the dll using method above

If any issues or errors, I would definitely do a repair install, as these dll files are relatively unrelated, and there may be an underlying cause.
