Screen randomly flashing black on Lenovo G580

Im not native english speaker, sry if u cant understand some parts. Ill try my best to make my message clear so eventual will come easier.

This problem occurs for quite some time, its rather calm since few weeks when I downloaded shitload of new drivers and some other lenovo stuff but might be just coincedence. Since this issue doesnt want to go away itself I have to do something about it. I can send it to Lenovo for free service anymore so Id like to ask some experts if theres something I can do to fix this issue.

Some info:
- occurs usually while typing or other stuff, but few times my laptop literally went nuts and flashed black screens few times a sec, no matter if i touched it or not

- its not overheating, i bought cooling pad and it didnt help much

- can happen just after turning laptop on and not happen during 10h+ session

Work through these Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7 which will uncover most problems. Report back results as there may be other steps indicated.

Why did you install all of these other drivers? Did you already have performance problems or just create them?

Do you have a System Restore point still available before this problem began?

I did some troubleshooting with Lenovo programmes and it found nothing. I downloaded drivers cause I didnt knew what was causing the issue.

As of now, Im almost sure it must be some "display wire/lcd cable" inside laptop that isnt plugged/attached correctly and that causes the issue. This flashing occurs usually after moving laptop over or even writing on it. If it starts flashing I just bring it up, and then put on desk again. Guess wire just "fixes" itself while I do that.

Like I said, thats only my speculation cause I know shit about laptops but it appears to be most reasonable cause my laptop cant find anything wrong on its own.

Lets say that weve found the problem, can I fix this on my own(if this is just poorly attached, not damaged) or I should go to specialists?

There is some "Optic Drive" is descritption but I have no idea if its thing im looking for.

Are you saying that if you physically move the laptop or jostle it that the display problems occur, so that you know for sure it is some sort of short or bad connection? If so then it could be the laptop screen wire harness coming unconnected or not being plugged in securely. This required disassembly to the point you can reach that harness to try to repair or replace it. Some models have videos on line showing how to do this, or at least how to disassemble it. But it is a very risky operation since there are many parts which are flimsy and easy to break without the greatest care being taken. You may want to take it to a shop, although it will never be cheap when disassembling a laptop.

If there is any doubt that it might be something in the OS, I think before I'd risk that I would s Shrink C
Partition in Disk Mgmt to do a diagnostic Clean Reinstall Windows 7 which will configure a Dual Boot menu so you can compare the two. There is a chance this new install once it is set up absolutely correctly without varying a single step, will resolve the problem and then you can transfer over your files, reinstall your programs and when you're ready we will help you remove the old install and recover the space.
