Hello, I have a problem where after being in game for 5 mins, I crash. My temps are all normal...

My PC is a Lenovo h50-50 with a corsair cx600m psu and a gtx 560 gpu

Cpu is a core i3 4160
10 gigs of ram
120gb ssd
1tb hdd

This has never happened before until I got an ssd or maybe because I put a confit file in the game? I played online. I don't see how that would affect anything though. Any more info needed I'll gladly post, thanks.

I've put an image of the screen

Sorry, I don't know what to make out of that screen shot?

All I can think off is that you either need to update your Nvidia Drivers or your system does not meet the requirements for the game.

Also, make sure your Monitor resolution is the Native res and in game you are using the same res as well.

Hi,

Sorry, I meant config file, haha.

I think I've realized my problem:

My PC needs more power from the psu, does that sound right? It gives a maximum of 600 but I think I need more after doing some more research. Thanks again for all your help!

Hi,
You're not listing a brand psu in your system spec's and how old it is
Depending on brand 600w should be okay if it's a 80+ platinum and not a knock off brand :/

My minimum psu is a evga 850 P2 and that only because I know I won't sli with 2 gpu's

Hmmmm I just ran a stress test on the card and the temp rose uncontrollably until around 87C

It stayed around there for a few mins but then continued to rise until the PC shut down. I ran a test on my old 8400gs card and it stayed in a controlled area of 70C

do i just need a better video card instead of the zotac gtx 560?

Also my psu is brand new. The card was refurbished by newegg.

Sounds like your fan on your GPU isn't turning fast enough. And perhaps you don't have enough airflow in the case.

Check your Nvidia control panel. Is your GPU fan set to manual?

Hi,

My gpu fan automatically spins faster when it heats up. I ran another stress test but this time with me manually turning the fan to 100%. It didn't appear to do enough last time and this time it ran great with the fan at 100%. Is it bad if I keep it like that when running heavy apps? I heard the cooler the better for the card. With max fan speed it gets down to 60C.

You shouldn't have to run your fan at 100%, I wouldn't think, anyway. I would remove the fan and reapply thermal paste, then reinstall the fan. Making sure that it's seated properly.

I run my fan at 65% all the time, because my Radeon card's automatic function doesn't run it fast enough to play games. It's a fault with the control program, I think. I don't know about Nvidia cards and how their automated fan speed works, but it sounds like yours isn't aggressive enough.

It won't hurt it to run at 100%, but it might be louder than you'd like it to be.
