Hello all,
Sorry if this is in the wrong place, I wasn't sure where it should be, so excuse me if I'm incorrect.
I have a task that needs to be performed today. We are changing a .txt file on multiple computers (about 10) for a program we have. I was planning on just \\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx\c$ into each one individually and changing it in the proper folder. Is there a way I can create a batch file to do this? I already placed the file in the directory, and just need to overwrite the old file with the new one, and re name the old one in case anything goes wrong. (new.txt overwrites script.txt, change script.txt to oldscript.txt). Let me know if you can help, just looking to make life easier and learn something on a Friday night, thanks.
