I find that I can scroll with the mouse wheel in some programs and not others.
For instance in Google I can scroll through the articles no bother.
Here in the forum scrolling is no bother.
If I go into Word no joy, I have to use the scroll bar.

I would like to know if this is a fault of the mouse or the progamme I am using.

Thanks
jack

I have MS Office and Word. I can scroll in Word with no problem. I would suggest borrowing a mouse and try it. You may need a new mouse. Make sure mouse drivers are up to date and functioning properly.

If it scrolls in some programs but not others, it is not the mouse. I would suspect either the mouse program, if installed, or a setting in Word - such as Options > Advanced > Use smart cursoring is disabled.

Did it ever work? Have you made any recent changes?

Hmmm, I can't find that number. There is a M/N YU-RJ21-RT7R05-V:5XTW.

Set your location then look for your model number and download and install the latest software for it.

I went into the logitech website entered the model number and it was not recongnised.
I also tried the Auto Recognise function still no joy.
I brought this keyboard and mouse back from Canada, I wonder if that has anything to do with the no recognition.

Yes the logitech cd is named iTouch 2.1
I installed this driver but have a feeling its not compatable with Windows 7.
Also as I have said this model is not even listed on the logitech website, although the keyboard works o/k.

You said some programs work and others don't, but only listed Word as one that does not work right. What other programs don't work.

And note that if Win7 drivers are not available, you usually can use Vista. Just make sure you select 32-bit or 64-bit accordingly.

Hmmm, so it is just Office products. A quick Google search shows you are not alone: no mouse scroll with Office. Several solutions worked, many did not. You can try uninstalling and reinstalling your mouse driver. Some users reinstalled the Intellipoint drivers. One use switched to Print Layout mode.

Try starting Word in Safe Mode:

Start > Run and type in

winword /a

and press enter.

Does scrolling work in Safe Mode? If so, check out third party add-ins.
