Secunia v2 not working, can't access any Secunia webpages

I just installed a wireless router and have two Windows 7 Home computers on the network.

I noticed today that when I open Secunia it stays on "checking network connection" and never goes further.

Also when I try to access secunia webpages in both IE10 and Chrome the webpages can't be found.

Any help at all is appreciated!

Apparently their webpages are down (again). Nothing to do but hurry up and wait.

Their web page is down again.
If it is like the last time it will be a day or two.
When it's quieting time they all go home and leave their site down until the next day or the next day. When ever they get to it.
If it was my computer I would just remove any programs of theirs.

I removed it a couple of weeks ago, got tired of it not working and taking a long time to get it running again.

It's been working fine for me? I scan with my work laptop every day. Just ran a scan again to be sure, and visited their web page as well. A Guy

I was having connection problems earlier this week, and it is showing one program that I know is up to date as needing a solution.

Search for: Secunia v2 not working July 20, 2013, there seems to be some turmoil in Secunia's camp.

Apparently, the website is back up and working, albeit a bit slow. I just now successfully ran a scan.

Its been working much better for me since this past Wednesday, but it won't disregard the older shockwave player version. I will have to investigate further.

The first listing is the problem, the last is the newer version, I'm also wondering "what's up" with the different icon for the "problem child"

The older version of Shockwave player may not have uninstalled (I've had it happen in the past). Just follow the path to the older version, find the offending .exe file, and delete it.

Steve, press the + sign next to the older version to see it's path. Likely it is still there and you will have to remove it manually. A Guy

Deleting it manually is what I eventually had to do.

Its location was in C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed along with two other folders in there; Director, and Flash. I left them and deleted the Shockwave10 Folder.

I had been getting a "Shockwave has stopped working" pop-up warning while using FireFox22 (FF22). I haven't seen it since I deleted that folder. Knock on wood.

Flash used to leave things behind that had to be deleted manually too. They seemed to have fixed that. A Guy
