I just got a new computer and it came with a trial of Norton Internet Security. I generally use Avast Free version and either the Windows Firewall or Comodo. Its been a while since I researched the different products and wondered what are some of the better integrated product suites? I see that avast has one as well as other vendors like Kaspersky, Eset, Norton, etc.... AV Comparative use to have a great list but I couldn't seem to find the list for full suites. Regardless of suites, I'd still have some of the other tools such as Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware.

Thanks!

The Norton product is actually pretty darn good again these days. Personally, I just use MSE on my PC and Avast on wife's laptop and those have been just fine. But if you want a more full featured product, I'd just stick with Norton.

If you decide to keep Norton, consider shopping around when the free trial nears the expiry date. There are reputable places other than the Norton site that sell versions of Norton at a lower price. There's no need uninstall the expiring version when buying a copy of Norton from elsewhere. Just select the 'I have a key or code to enter' option that comes up during the renewal procedure. Use the key that comes with the bought CD.

As regards reviews, read any you can find. They all differ a bit. Here's another site where comparisons can be made:

What you were using earlier was the better option. You should get rid of Norton as soon as possible and go back to the earlier products.

My guess is that your machine is a HP, because they are notorious for piggy-backing all sorts of crappy and bloatware programs with there Computers.

I also very strongly recommend that you download your version of Windows 7 from Official Windows 7 SP1 ISO from Digital River « My Digital Life and install a clean Windows 7 and activate it with your current Product Key. Then you can install the Programs of your choice and not what the Manufacturer has imposed upon you.

Best of luck.
