Those are the timings for your ram. The timings the manufacturer specifies are on a small sticker on the ram, it will tell the timings, frequency and voltage required. see what they are. or download CPUz

Also, what CPU Cooler are you using? And what are your temps, CPU, GPU Motherboard? Please go into BIOS and read the temps from there as well as the values of the +12V, +5V and +3.3V. You can monitor your CPU temps with Core Temp Core Temp Do you have a utility for the GPU to monitor temps. Most manufacturers of GPU provide a utility to monitor temps, set a custom fan profile and an on screen display which will show info like that when gaming or doing things that utilize the GPU. A custom fan profile cam keep the GPU running cooler if you are having heat issues.

The space is needed for proper ventilation, not only for spacing the component parts.

About the RAM timing, I requested essenbe to have a look.

These Shuttle boxes are designed to cool efficiently and it has been running for about 4 years I think and I have had 3 or 4 previous Shuttle XPC boxes and they all lasted around 4 about years or so. I suspect USB connector problems, at least that seemed to be the demise of previous boxes.

Since installing the 500w PSU, the time between BSOD events has increased, but still too often. I also uninstalled Memeo Backup Premium which I hoped was the cause (it had it's own issues anyway). I disabled WinPatrol.

Occasionally, lately, when rebooting after BSOD, disk check has initiated. It does not find any significant problems. I am wondering if my SATA connectors on back of SSDs are marginal. Did I ever mention that this computer lives in an 18-wheeler, so is constantly being exposed to vibrations???

I am considering getting a replacement (same model) Shuttle box and pulling all components from this box and putting in new (re-conditioned) box.

Try, open a elevated command prompt ( click start, type cmd in the search box, right click on the cmd entry and select run as administrator) in the black box that opens, copy/paste sfc /scannow. What we want are the results to say windows found no integrity violations. If it says files were found but could not be repaired, close the box, reboot and run it again, after opening the administrative command prompt. You may have to reboot and run it three times for it to repair all system files. If it can't repair them after 3 reboots, let us know.

drumtrucker, it's a shame you had to go to such extreme measures, but you have a system runs as it should. You did very well. Congratulations. If you would, whenever you think this thread is solved, please be sure to mark it solved. Congratulations again.
