Seemingly Random dxgkrnl.sys BSODs

Reinstall Acronis then uninstall it. It's still causing problems on your system. Use Revo uninstaller to ensure you get rid of everything. Then check Program Files (x86) and rename the entire Acronis folder to something else.

There are no new memory dumps in the uploaded files, but there are at least 2 dump files that haven't been captured (from 23 and 24 Sep). Please do the following:

Upload Dump Files:
Please go to C:\Windows\Minidump and zip up the contents of the folder. Then upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.
Left click on the first minidump file.
Hold down the "Shift" key and left click on the last minidump file.
Right click on the blue highlighted area and select "Send to"
Select "Compressed (zipped) folder" and note where the folder is saved.
Upload that .zip file with your next post.

If you have issues with "Access Denied" errors, try copying the files to your desktop and zipping them up from there. If it still won't let you zip them up, post back for further advice.

If you don't have anything in that folder, please check in C:\Windows for a file named MEMORY.DMP. If you find it, zip it up and upload it to a free file hosting service . I recommend Windows Live SkyDrive - http://skydrive.live.com or another free, file-hosting service. Then post the link to it in your topic so that we can download it.

Then, follow the directions here to set your system for Minidumps (much smaller than the MEMORY.DMP file): Set MiniDump

I have tried installing several different builds (starting with the latest) of Acronis True Image Home 2009 and each time I receive an error message that reads "The installation was interrupted before Acronis True Image Home could be installed. You need to restart the installer to try again." I have searched for a solution to this problem but have found no help. I've posted a question about this in the Acronis forums, but is there any way to safely remove the remnants of a program without reinstalling it and uninstalling it?

Also, I've looked in both the Minidump folder and the Windows folder. The newest dump is from September 22nd and I believe that has already been put in the crash dumps I uploaded earlier. I changed the settings to make Minidumps as instructed in the link.

I used a trial version of Revo Uninstaller Pro to completely uninstall Acronis and I've gotten rid of all of its drivers. So far I haven't had any more blue screens.

Then we wait for the next BSOD.
Hopefully that wait will be a long one! :0)

With the amount of involvement of Acronis - along with the great amount of problems that it caused you - I really suspect that it was the problem.

I have some bad news again. Today I turned on my computer and everything was fine. I then started Starcraft II and was greeted with a blue screen referencing dxgkrnl.sys. I restarted my computer and got to the "Starting Windows" screen. I then got another blue screen right after the animation finished. I've attached a picture of that blue screen since I can't get Windows and the dumps. I then restarted my computer again and started Startup Repair. It told me that it was going to do a system restore so I decided to go ahead with that. It then gave me an error message that said "The instruction at 0xfx40584d referenced memory at 0x00000008. The memory could not be read. Click on OK to terminate the program" I've attached a picture of this also. I clicked OK and tried to complete a System Restore manually at the screen in Startup Repair that gives you several options. I think that my RAM may be fried again so I'm running Memtest86+ overnight. If anyone has another idea of what might be wrong or what I can do to get into Windows to post the crash dumps please reply!

Last night ran Memtest86+ for 10 passes and it found nothing wrong with my RAM. I'm going to format my hard drive and reinstall Windows after I use a Linux live CD to back up everything.
