No error. It appears to be hanging up. I waited 15 minutes to just send a picture by attachment. All I see on the screen is circular motion. I also tried drag and drop but it does the same thing.

If you use Yahoo toolbar... please do not activate it using No add-ons mode,
Navigate to Yahoo.com manually and sign in if necessary to access your email account that way,
Cheers.

This is what I see using...
...IE10 (with 64bit tabs)
...Yahoo e-mail
...and the drag/drop method:

(best viewed in the full screened mode @ 720p)

edit: I see the same thing while using IE11, all patched up.

What do you see when you try that?

I already tried drag and drop and also by opening the picture I want to send and all I See is a spinning circular movement. I think its trying to find yahoo as my default email. I looked at default programs and all I come up with when I expand the options is:
"Use current email program as default email"
But it does not tell me if Yahoo or My yahoo is my default program. I wonder if using the "MY YAHOO" as the default program instead of "YAHOO" makes a difference. I will sign in to "Yahoo" to see if that is the problem.

Operating System (OS) default settings are usually for applications that you have installed locally - like MS Outlook. There probably is not a way to tell the OS to use a web based e-mail tool as the default e-mail client. I don't actually use Yahoo e-mail on a day to day basis - so I don't know if they make software that you can install locally that would allow you to tell the OS to use it as the default e-mail program. Such an app would have to pass info that it got from the OS (like a mailto: link) to the default browser.

Can you add an attachment if you boot to the safe mode with networking?

No luck as Yahoo or My Yahoo uses the same program. But I tried a backdoor approach by right clicking the picture and then clicking on send as an email and this is the error message that appears:

Quote: There is no email program associated to perform the requested action. please install an email program or, if one is installed, create an association in the default program control panel. Unquote.

The trouble is there are no instructions on how to perform an association???
The last time I sent an attachment was on a public forum and it worked. I do not remember sending one by email.

Yes I did and an error appeared. Quote: cannot find C:\program

I also cannot get into Safe Mode. I think its time to put the computer in for repair.
Thanks all for the suggestions.

Update:
I tried one more thing before disconnecting my computer. I downloaded Explorer 11 and now the attachments work. I hesitate when new versions come out as I heard there's always bugs to contend with.
I guess somehow there must have been a file missing from Explorer 10.

I'm glad that you got it working.

That means you need the quotes around the path to iexplorer.exe

People things like - type this in:
"blah blah blah"
(without the quotes)

In this case, you needed to type in:
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -extoff
(with the quotes)

The quotes tell the operating system deal with the space in the path.
That is why it stopped at C:\program

Yes the paste without quotes would be this,

iexplore.exe -extoff

Anyway I'm glad ie11 loaded good and corrected the issue so that was another good thing to try which doesn't always work out in a good way so the issue may return but we'll keep are fingers crossed,
Cheers.
