Setting the location of tabs in IE 9 and later

I'm still using IE 8 and one of the reasons is that I haven't found a way to move the tabs in IE 9 and later so that they are below all the other toolbars and menu bars. They're always above everything else. Does anyone know how to move them?

Hi and welcome to SevenForums,
That's not a very good reason to be using such an out of date browser,
Not to worry ie11 I believe is your only choice now,
I'd rather see you use Chrome or similar than ie8 :shock:

IE 8 works very well on both my Vista and Win 7 systems and I like the tabs on the bottom row. The only reason that I want to change is that a few websites don't allow one to use IE 8. That's not critical to me but, if someone can tell me how to do this, then I'll update to another version of IE.

That link didn't help me specifically but there was a reference to answers.microsoft.com. In there, they talked about IE 11 in Win 8 having the tabs at the bottom of the page and the inability to move them. Why wife has IE 11 in Win 7 and the tabs are at the top and I haven't found a way to move them. I didn't have time to look at IE 9 and 10.
