Two computers.
Names are Black and the other Silver.
Two printers both hardwired to their computer using USB. One printer to Black (WIFI capable.) The other printer goes to Silver (not WIFI capable).
Asus router RTN12/300M Super Speed.
Both computers are hardwired to the router for the internet. The router to the DSL modem.
_____________________________________________
I have got things all messed up. Black computer is on network#4 and the Silver is on network #3. Looking through the Tutorial I discovered at the beginning big problems. The Black computer doesn't have (Peer Network Grouping) running. The Silver doesn't have (Home Group Listener) working. I have tried to get them to run unsucessful. Problably because I doing something wrong. What I would like to do is remove all part of this mess I got and get the proper services running as they should and create a proper network with these two computers and 2 printers. One printer hardwired and the other WIFI. I have completed sfc /scannow on both computers.
Both computers are Windows 7 Home Premium/64.

Go to the System page in Control Panel, change the workgroup in each machine to something you like, the same on both machines. Shut each down, turn on both printers, boot each machine, now you should be able to print to both...

The fix seems to be Deleting the file idstore.sst under C:\windows\serviceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Roaming\PeerNetworking

It might also help to Start the Task Manager Click on the service Tab, find the "HomeGroupProvider" and stop it.

You may need to go back into services and enable PeerNetworking and HomeGroupProvider again after the fix. Don't forget to restart all machines after making those changes.

You may need to enable "Show Hidden Files and Folders" in Folder Options, "View" tab in order to see the idstore.sst file.

You will need to do this on both machines.

These are the only known fixes available for these problems and this procedure has worked many times to fix both of the problems you are seeing. :)

Thank you for your help.

Yes please remove everything you see there.

It will all get be fixed on it's own when you set up the network again.

Once you get that sorted you might consider setting up a Homegroup.

I'm still in a fight with these two computers. I have got over 16 hours in the last few days in this problem. Stoping for coffee and trips to the john every now and then and a few trips here. I did what you recommended on both computers. Both computers access the internet as they should. One on or both booted it doesn't matter.
The Networkk test good on both computers, (no issure found). I'm have been trying to start a Home Group on the Black computer and joint the Home Group with the Silver computer. I have went through the Tutorials many many times with no good results.I have watched videos from Microsoft and others.
I have tried it with and without password protection with the same results. Unable to access the other computer, (no permission). I have cut/paste passwords and also typed them in. Same thing no access accross the computers. The only consistant thing I have noticed is on the Silver computer the one I'm trying to join the Home Group of the Black computer is the Homegroup Listener and Peer Networking Grouping in Services are set to started/ manual but after a reboot they don't show in Services as started. The Black computer is on Network 3 and the Silver computer is on Network 4. I have no idea what that is all about or how to change it. With all the things I haved tried I could type for another couple of hours. I have about a dozen pages of notes. Why can't I get simple problems??

I findly fixed the darn HomeGroup

I feel so dumb. Off and on I have spent many many hours just trying to set up a Home Group between 2 computers from this thread.

You have no idea all the things I tried to do a simple thing like that. Much anger and coffee. The problem is solved and here is what I found.

THE PASSWORD.

It would not except any password I made and I made many.
It would only except a password made by the operating system only. With all the reading I have done on this I never did read such a thing when it come to doing a simple Home Group. I have 4 hours today alone in doing this.
I have more to learn about sharing and setting things up the way I want them. I have never had a Home Group or Work Group because I never wanted or needed one. Now I just want one.
I know, I know a three leged blind monkey should of been able to do this in a few minutes but not me because I wanted one of those super passwords. I don't know why I wanted such a password because it's only me and the cat in the house and she can't type. Hell she can't even make coffee.

I would like to thank all the people gave me help in this thread. I learned a lot from your suggestions.

I would think that the default Homegroup password created by Windows would be plenty secure. I think you have to use the one that Windows creates.

There are more advantages to having a Homegroup than many people realize. I can explain some of those advantages if required. :)

Thanks for the offer chev65. Their are many things that I don't understand about it and would like to make it run smooth being able to use everything on both computers from one computer. Just turn both computers and printers on and start sharing neat and clean. I will provide you with information or pictures that you request. Trying to get this Home Grouping working I have made many changes most I don't remember so I might of created problems also. I know nothing about networking but want to learn. So starting with basics (check this setting and that setting) would be fine with me. I sure wish I new about that password little goodie.
