Setting up Bluetooth Device in Windows 7 Home Premium

Hello

I am trying to set up my Bluetooth headset device. Specs: HP PC, Windows 7 Home 64 Bit, Intel Core Processor, 4 Gb RAM.

I have managed to successfully pair my Bluetooth with my PC. Showing in Device Manager: Bluetooth Radio and in Network Adapters. Bluetooth showing on my Taskbar. My issue is, I have no audio.

I purchased the headset off Amazon, and the USB Dongle from Best Buy.

I downloaded the driver from Broadcoms site and ran it, but Windows isn't picking it up. When I try to install the device driver software for it, it shows it is not successfully installed. All 4 services in Bluetooth (Audio sink, handsfree telephony, handset and remote control boxes are all checked).

Am I missing a step or should it be running by now?

My Bluetooth headset is not listed in my sound/audio settings at all.

Could it be that Windows Update is not picking it up, or I do not have the correct driver on my PC system?

The thing that you buyed in Amazon, does it support Windows 7?
Do you have internet connection?
If you don't have internet connection, i think you cannot install it because of Windows Update needs internet connection.

Maybe it's the drivers
If it is the drivers, then install an application called Slim Drivers

As I said, it shows up fine in Device Manager I got it in Devices and Printers. I think it's either the drivers themselves, or that Windows Update is not picking it up. I'm pretty sure it supports Windows 7; I have both Firefox and Internet Explorer. I've downloaded and tried a couple of programs to see if the software would install, but to no luck. Where is Bluetooth Profiles in Win 7? Could that be the problem? I'll try Slim Drivers and see if that works. Thanks Nick127

Just ran Slim Drivers and it never picked up an update for my Bluetooth Headset. It seems like I may already have a driver on my PC for it. Now I'm thinking it's either something I need to change in Bluetooth profiles or a different setting for it.

Finally got my Bluetooth headset set up. Can listen to music from PC music folder. Nothing from YouTube or audio yet from Discord (private computer server I am on). Thinking possibly a setting in Windows audio services, not allowing audio from my different computer sources running at the same time
