Solved Setting Viewing Area For Opened Files

Hi:

I open the reg. for my "C" drive. On the left it shows the file folders just fine. Then when I click on a folder I want to open, it displays the files that are stored within that folder on the right hand side. Not a problem there.

My problem is that when the files are displayed (right hand side), I always have to manually widen the area to display all the file information to show such things as the name, date size, etc.

I have looked for a setting that will permanently retain the new setting I made for the viewing area and want it to hold and apply to all my folders but no success.

Can someone please give me a path on how to permanently retain my adjusted wider area setting so that it is applied to each folder and I will not have to manually adjust it every time?

I'm my own worst enemy I guess as I caused my own trouble.

I had the "Preview Pane" turned on. Pretty stupid huh?
