Hello,

For quite awhile I've been having regular BSOD's and lockups for what appears to be no specific reason. I've had my computer BSOD while idle, while under intense load, and even during basic use. I've searched around a lot, tried several fixes, and even tried to ignore it as long as I could.

I've ran Memtest86+ overnight with no negative results. I recently upgraded my CPU from an AMD Phenom II 1090T to an AMD FX-8350. Still the same issues/BSODs. For awhile I believe my SSD might be going a little wonky so I took that out for awhile and still had issues. The only parts I haven't tried (due to inability lack of replacement) are RAM, GPU, and motherboard. I feel it's a hardware issue as it's persisted through several reinstalls of Windows 7, though I could be wrong. Any help in fixing this god forsaken problem would be much appreciated.

Motherboard: ASUS M5A97
GPU: Gigabyte HD7970 3GB

First of all looking at your system I see you do not have Service Pack 1 installed.

Code:
Version	6.1.7600 Build [COLOR="Red"]7600[/COLOR]

Install all updates for Windows.

Code:

Daemon Tools/Alcohol is known cause of BSODs.

Your display driver is very outdated.
You should update it to a newer version but not the very latest.

Download Drivers

Post back the results.

How long did you run memtest86 for?
You must run it for at least 8 passes.

Just curious as to if Daemon causes issues or SPTD? I ask because I never install SPTD, only Daemon.

Also I have updated my video drivers however due to my slow connection I'll have to install SP1 and the other Windows updates overnight.

Thanks!

Yes Daemon Tools causes BSODs so you should remove it and find an alternative.

Greetings!

I've since updated my display driver and installed available Windows Updates as well as uninstalled Daemon Tools. Sadly I've encountered another BSOD while doing essentially nothing. At the time I was just listening to some music on Youtube. Once again it was a 0x3b error.

I reuploaded the zip with all the logs and whatnot however I cleared out the old ones so the only BSOD log is the one that happened today.

Thanks!

You still haven't updated Windows, you don't have Service Pack 1 installed.

Probably because your installation is counterfeit.

Code:
Product ID: [COLOR=red]00426-OEM-8992662-00497[/COLOR]
Original Install Date: 4/18/2014, 1:43:58 PM
System Boot Time: 6/1/2014, 2:27:30 PM
System Manufacturer: To be filled by O.E.M.
System Model: To be filled by O.E.M.

I suggest you start a fresh with genuine media, it's probably contributing to your BSODs as well.

Yeah I guess it's high time I invest in my own copy. Truth be told, using a counterfeit OS has more to do with being easily accessed than anything else. Living in the middle of nowhere has its perks but accessibility of hardware/software is not one of them.

I'll order a genuine copy, re-install, and see how it goes. With any luck it'll solve my issues. Thanks for your assistance thus far! In addition I'll do another run of Memtest and ensure I do the 7 passes.
