Solved SFC /SCANNOW - Corrupt Files Found - Unable to Fix

Hello,

I just updated installed the following updates and now I've got SFC issues.

KB3138901
KB3139923
KB3137061
KB3133977

I don't know if the problem is due to the updates or something else.

I know this type of fix requires someone with some skill. My system specs on this site are up to date.

I need a pro to resolve this issue.

TJG mate no expert but for one thing I do not download that many updates at all these days because of the rot with 10.

Now have you tried a system restore to back before the issue began?

I've removed the updates and I've copied my data files to a flash drive.

I've got to do the reboot and then SFC again before I'll know anything.

If that doesn't work, I'll reimage the system from an image in Jan or early Feb.

I think a lot of the pros are now on the Win 10 site and expert help is not as available as it used to be.

I've got my updates set to not install the optional ones. I don't have any of the Get Win 10 Now updates installed; they area all hidden. Even then, MS likes to try to slip them back in the lineup for installation. They are very sneaky.

True to a point TJG but they are still there which leaves the amateurs like me to get to some of the stuff - I only do this for a hobby my other interests (motorcycling, gold prospecting and woodworking ) cut short by wrecking my shoulder back in 2009 - prospecting.

Most of what I post is what I would try myself in any given situation or have learnt from the experts as you see them when solving my own and other problems.

Well, I restored from an image dated 7 Feb and SFC is good.

Now, if I install optional updates, I'll do them one at a time to determine which one is the trouble maker.

Yep I would be real careful TJG mate I don't download updates as I mentioned before I think I just set them for letting me choose to download and install and I regularly run the GWX Control Panel because I still get 10 related data /files even with the most innocuous looking updates and even when I go researching them and find nothing.
I have the disable batch file installed to prevent any upgrade to 10 as well to cover me. But the choice is yours. Personally even though I haven't downloaded many updates in the last few months I cannot say that anything has changed much in the operation of my machines (6) as I said because I think that the move toward 10 is using quite normal looking updates to get stuff through.
Call me paranoid but at least I ma not worrying about the consequences each time I update Windows especially when I wonder if I am actually updating anything at all, and I certainly cannot be bothered to og to extreme lengths researching updates to see what is in them.

Just FYI if you want to see what I use and many other are using now these are thetwo pieces of software that give me some peace of mind.
