sfc /scannow corrupt files

sfc /scannow results:
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.

According to the CBS.log file (sfcdetails.txt) there are no corrupt files present.

Is it possible that Windows is reporting a false positive?

please run kb947821 and post the CBS and SURT logs, ill have a look.
from C >>Windows >> logs >> CBS >> in the folder copy/paste, top cbs and bottom SURT
and run this as well please,

Quick question, kb947821 appears to be x86 for Vista - is this okay for x64 for 7?

CBS looks good.

I'll check SURT when you post it.

If it shows USB as a problem then its a false/positive.

I'm not sure which one you wanted, so I'll post them both.
Besides keyboard (USB2.0) and mouse (USB2.0) I also have a permanent external drive (USB3.0) plugged in for Windows 7 Libraries.
Should I retry sfc /scannow without the external HDD?

Hi Bandit,

That report looks fine as well, suspect it is your external drive causing the False/positive.

Note as your external drive is USB3
are the following upto date
BIOS
external drives firmware
Chipset and USB3 hub.

Microsoft Updates (Up-to-date)
Dell Updates, including BOIS & Chipset (Up-to-date)
Device Manager (Up-to-date)
WD External drive (Researching...)
