I used the tutorial to activate Windows mail on Win7 and it works great until I run sfc /scannow, then it wont open. Winmail.exe is running in the Task manager. I have two Win Mail programs 32 bit and 64 bit. Running IE8.

Reentering the downloaded reg or changing the msoe.dll, no joy.

I'm attaching a partial CBS log(small) hoping that someone can tell me what SFC is doing to Win mail7, how to repair without another System Restore and how to prevent this from reoccurring again!!!

Any help would be appreciated,
Thank You

Are you talking about Windows Live Mail? Try reinstalling. Uninstall it first though, then reinstall. It seems it wasn't correctly repaired.

I would like for someone to look at the log and explain what sfc /scannow is doing?

This worked at one time. I don't use WinMail anymore so not for sure if it still works

I was reinstalling the wrong version of the dill, got that straightened out and it is working again. x64 is different than the posters x32 and I haven't been able as yet to find the correct registry entry to possibly delete.

Thanks for the help
