Sharing Libraries Between Accounts

Not sure if I am posting this in the right section, so my apologies if not.

I have a PC that has two admin accounts on it, one of them being mine.

For a Christmas project, I need to access the pictures stored in the other user's library. Is there any way I can do this without having their password? I don't want to reset their password because that would be obivous. I just need a way to share photos between the accounts. Since I am also an admin on the computer, is this possible, or do I have to login through the other user's account to share libraries?

To share files between different users on the same machine you would either attach a external hdd and connect to that from both accounts
Or you can put the files in the public music/ doc/ videos/.. area,

And I know how to share files (by putting them in public). What I'm asking is if there's another way to do that, or share the other user's files for them.

Hi there.

This involves a bit of work but you could do it on a VM. :

Why not use STORAGE SPACES and then authorize the particular folders you want to the appropriate user. However to do this you would need either Windows 8 (8.1) or Windows 10 preview which you can download for free.

Windows 10 is sufficiently "Windows 7" like to try this.

My main reason for moving OFF Windows 7 was actually because of the STORAGE SPACES feature. A bit of work to migrate but far far better and resilient than libraries and you can dynamically add / change more volumes at will - unlike RAID they can be of different sizes too.

Ideal for large multi-media folders like movies etc.

Simply create a Virtual Machine of W8.1 or W10, don't install anything extra other than the standard, set up and share the folders you want to the specific users in the STORAGE SPACES on the VM. Use VMWARE VMPLAYER or VBOX for creating the VM -- FREE.

If you noticed the Public Videos listing that's basically where the files need to be in
Of course every listing under the perspective Documents... have the Public listing as well which is for that particular category of files,
So in sort you could very well put everything in the public listings and just keep private files in the other My Documents.... that you didn't want to share with the other user account/ s
