Shifting Laserjet from a W-XP to a W-7 32bit to 64bit

What is a good telephone number for HP Laserjet support.
I would like to talk to someone in support about printing and driver issues. I installed my Laserjet on a computer with Windows 7 Home 64 bit and now it doesn't print. Preferably some one who can remotely do what is needed to make it work. The Laserjet use to be on my discarded XP 32 bit machine.

HP Laserjet 2200d. I do not have a 64bit driver. If I get one how do I install it?

Must be a fairly old printer. They only provide drivers for Windows versions up to Vista. You might find that the 64-bit version for Vista will work:

Odd that there is a driver for Windows Server 2008 64-bit but not w7; they both use the same OS core. You might try that if the one for Vista doesn't do the trick.

My research of the driver problem indicates that HP has a “HP Instant Support - Driver Check Tool “ that is available at:

At the bottom of the web page is a link to see a list of printers supported by this tool. The HP Laserjet 2200 series is on that list.The Laserjet 2200series is 60---80%of the wa down this list. Following the prompts on this tool I give permission to install Active-X and get an error. (See attached). At this point I am stopped cold. There are no options to override the block that Windows put on the file that caused the block nor do I know of any way to override the block.
My original post asked for a phone number that I could call at HP to do this remotely because, frankly, I have spent 4 days at this and am discouraged. Incidentally, IE5 or above must be used as the browser.

If you really want to install that ActiveX control you can check/adjust your settings by opening Internet Options and clicking the Security tab. Then click the Custom Level... button, scroll to find the area that concerns ActiveX stuff.

Make sure to change it back afterwards.
