All of my shortcuts to WEB sites (e.g. ABC.com - Official Site of the ABC Network), whether on my desktop or in folders have stopped working. My links below the address bar on my browser still work though. Whenever I double click on any shortcut to open a WEB site, I get the two line message below (WEB URL, then Application Not Found):
ABC.com - Official Site of the ABC Network
Application Not Found
The message is in a box and is accompanied by a symbol to the left of the first line, a white X inside a red circle. Has anyone seen this problem and how can it be fixed?
I don't know of anything I could have done to cause this problem. My OS is WIN 7 Home Edition 32 and I am using Firefox 3.6.13 for my browser most of the time. Occasionally, but rarely, I also use IE 9 Beta.
