Solved Should I run Ccleaner if browsers are slow?

Here are the results from the desktop. It is connected through a LAN (Ethernet) connection.

They're better but not by much. I wanted to see if there was a big difference that your wi-fi may be causing the slowness.

Also, it usually goes out in the afternoon when it does go out.

What do you mean, have we had any other interaction with them...other than sign up?

Had you talked to coosa about the slowness, service interruptions, how was your customer experience with them, from your question apparently not; See above link.


Did you have the slowness when you were with centurylink?

No. I don't remember having any trouble with speeds out of CenturyLink.

What files, and who or what said they were invalid, do you mean the Hosts file?

If that's it, describe in detail the steps you took to prepare it for uploading.

When I tried uploading the host files to the forum, it said they were invalid. I saved them to my desktop.

If you can, can you post a copy of your Hosts file in your next reply?
Go to: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc and click on Hosts, if the OS asks you which program to open the file with, click on Notepad, make sure the box is unchecked next to "Always use the selected program to open this type of file" it may even be greyed out, and click on OK, the file should appear on your desktop.
Open the file, under the file menu click on Save As, the name should already be there "Hosts" but you need to go to the left pane and select the Desktop destination near the top. Attach that file to your next reply.

I don't understand how to upload them. When he said desktop, I thought he meant to save them to the desktop and then upload them.

Yes save to the Desktop .. Then click Manage Attachments to Upload you have done this before Jesse ...
