You right paul, the overall score went up 1687 points I was looking at the GPU+Score on the chart, that`s the wrong column.



No clue what you mean by 6000 points.

My graphics score in the 1st test with the 760 is 33,242 with the 770 it`s 34,662 that`s only a 1420 point increase.

With your 780 getting a 46,000 point overall score with us both having the same cpu, I thought the 770 would have scored much higher then the 760.

Maybe around the 38, 39, or 40,000 point area.

Looks like I was reading the wrong part for your Gpu score lol.

yes im some behind both of them.. and i clocked card some more than you :shock:

was hard to get 4.8cpu stable first time i clocked it more than 4.4

I take it your CPU is at stock or close to stock speed too? That makes a big difference to the scores on Vantage too.

I just built it so I'd rather it burn in a little before doing any overclocks. Plus I moved from 7 to 8.1 on the desktop so if any issues arise, I'd like to know they're not associated with the overclocks.

And aside from those, I'm also no longer into overclocking so any overclocks done will be small and conservative. Not trying to win any benchmarking awards

And yeah, I can't wait to get the new card in

New card, better scores

Just upgrade my card yesterday (Sapphire Radeon VAPOR-X R9 280X 3GB (OC Version)) and re-ran Vantage today and these are my scores....

First test....



3DMV crashed on me trying to upload the info on the first test



Re-ran the test again, and got this score....

These are using AMD's Catalyst 13-11 beta drivers so... Anyway this is a far cry from the 19000 with my old card

BTW I still have not overclocked my CPU or done any tweaks so these are still raw numbers

Thanks Steve; I'm pretty happy with it thus far. I immediately noticed a difference visually and performance wise in Deus Ex: Human Evolution - Director's Cut. Game look damn good. Now I'm off the check out Bioshock Infinite

BTW got 3DMark for 13 bucks on sale over at at Steam. Sale ends Dec 3.

Good price for 3D Mark, now you can run it without all the demo's lol. The best score I got with my 7970 Vapor X when overclocked was around 7800 in 3D mark Firestrike, I expect your 280X at stock to score around 7000 but we will see.
