Max certainly looks comfortable in his new bed. We don't bother with beds for ours, they never stay sleeping in one place long enough. Willow is at the side of me at the moment but she might be on the back of the couch or over on the other one. We have a blanket type box in the hall and there's a towel held on by the lid and that has a square of vet bedding on it, she likes sleeping on that as well. Then of course there's our bed but during the day more often than not Sooty is on there.

Max this morning with his fish

Just make damn sure you are supervising his playtime. If he catches it, and he starts chewing on it. That there are no small parts that can cause a choking hazard like a rubbery part of the body that could break off or if Max gets one of his claws or teeth entangled in the hinge parts between the body and the tail.

Otis, aka Mr. Lucky
Rescued by a local veterinary tech after being hit on the highway. He refused to die.

I like my cats like my women, independent and self-sufficient. At least the cats stick around.
