btw... there's a machete on the floor because A) the previous owner of the house left us a machete and B) because there's construction going on next door and last night some crack head decided to investigate... so, it fell on me to scare him off.

And here I thought it was some new form of digital road rage....

By the way; is that Shift 1 or Shift 2? Looks like 2, but I can't see the screen quite well enough to tell...

lol... it's 2... lot's of fun... although I must say I'm not well an accomplished tool-smith, and so drilling the holes juuuuuust right to hold the pedals was a real pita.

I think your couch is still somewhat closer to your screen than I am though.. Lol. I got Shift 2 recently as well, the drift events are virtually impossible though, I'm sure the first Shift's drift events weren't this hard... But my trusty (and slightly aged) Driving Force EX makes easy work of the track races.

I played 1 at my brother-in-laws house... and while I didn't particularly like the drift events, I got through a few of them. With this game, I can't even get the car to spin going around that little circle. I gave up after a while and just moved on.

Well, at least I know it's not just me then... Lol. I haven't tried drift in the career mode (apparently they do a "training" thing first?), only tried the custom race method, so I'll try some other time. At the moment I'm still enjoying Crysis 2 way too much...

But anyway, I guess that's enough off-topic talk for me for the moment.. I should actually take a pic of my PC when I have everything arranged for racing games. Sitting down to play a racing game makes me feel like I'm climbing into a race car. Kinda hard to explain, I'll upload a pic tomorrow..

It's the Thrustmaster Ferrari GT... the cheap $40.00 model, not the nicer one. I bolted the pedals to some plywood so it wouldn't move around on me.

well, our internet connection is a pitiful 160Kb/s (kilobits, cant remember if that's the right capitalisation ), but yeah, I can understand that the server could be slow. It's 2011, yet we're stuck with in my case awful download speeds and in that server's case, awful upload speeds :/

Also, I just ordered an air purifier. I burn a lot of incense and dust builds up quickly. Looking forward to seeing if it has any real affect.

Interesting, my case has 3 intakes in front,2 exhaust at back,one top exhaust and one huge intake on side.And my case allways sat beneath my desk,so it got a lot of dust,but I recently got a smaller desk next to my olde desk,put the case on that and from the looks of it I think I cleared like 80% of my dust problem, Not shore if this is that accurate,but personally my case no longer has dust on top of it,and it's been a weak and the fans are still clean(previously after a weak I could wipe dust from the fans with my finger) You could try that( again,no guarantee that you will get less dust if the case is on top,this is just how it happens to work for me) And I am looking to get a fan reader,but like yours with blue lights and so on.
