hey thobel How many dollars you got in that rig. I know the processor cost 1 grand and that mainboard had to be over 400 dollars. I like it but way too much dollars for me. I have over 2 grand in my HAF92 LIMITED EDITION rig and I still get yelled at by the wife for spending that much money on a rig. I though about getting the asus rampage for my AMD Phenom II 965 BE but it was just too much money so I went with the MSI 790FX-GD70 with quad crossfire instead. Man I wish I could get that 3d mark 06 score that high wow that is a monster. I am going to invest in a couple of ATI 5890 4 GIG Hemlock cards as soon as the price drops some. Maybe next month I will upgrade to the AMD Phenom X6 1090T BE. And thanks for the compliments on my rig guys.

Gigabyte,
I like your set up but I'm not following the need for the electrical tape. I really doesn't detract from what looks to be a very quick machine without being stupid expensive. Good job.

the reson i have tape on the termenals is so i dont blow up the power supply.
I'm not following your reasoning here. I don't see the reason for the tape.

All the SATA cables were black, but when I was trying to dual boot snow leopard initially I was getting confused with which sata port to plug each drive into while troubleshooting so I grabbed some different colored ones and havent replaced them with black ones yet.

2 of the spinpoint f3 drives are for win 7 with one being a backup
the other spinpoint and the 7200.12 are OS, backup for snow leopard
backups, media, and images and program backups are stored on the other two drives.
I used wire ties and some standoff/spacers I made out of things around the house to attach the fans to the heatsink. With them a half inch from touching the heatsink the megahalems doesn't whine like it did before while using fan clips.
