Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo, it was a cheap $40 (about 30 US) one I received for Christmas, however it is a lot better than the stock cooler my 2600k peaks at around 50 degrees load.

Installed my Noctua fans today. Quieter, but not earthshaking. But I think my CPU cooler fan and GPU are now the noisy ones. Turned GPU fan down from 100% to auto again, running at 40% now. My CPU temps are down about 4 degrees, and the GPU 3, so think these Nocs are moving more air too. Guess a PWM Noc for the cooler might be next on my list

How quiet are they really? A lot of "silent" fans I have run into are quieter...but they still whine, or something like that. I would be tempted to get some except for the colour factor

I use Noctua fans and the only fan I can hear is the sound card fan. If they made a Noctua fan for the card I would install it.

Been reading reviews, and the "tone" of the fan is as important as the db rating. The Noctuas have no clicking, or "huffing" as opposed to some others. Was just reading up on their PWM fans, especially the NF-F12 PWM Focus Flow fan for my CPU cooler. At 12v they flow 55cfm , and make some noise, but at 5v and 7v could not be heard at all. If I replace my CPU cooler fan, I'm sure it's my GPU I'm hearing even now. Read some reviews, most are skeptical about the color, the technical jargon and such, but their conclusions are that they live up to the hype. A Guy

Thing is I also like lighting in my case I currently have 2 blue leds and 3 white ones, and I like them very much. The issue is there doesnt seem to be a market for silent led fans I have considered buying some noctua fans, painting the frame (not the fan) black and inserting some LEDs, however it may look odd with the coloured blades, I cant paint the blades because that has a high risk of unbalancing them. My other option would be LED strips, the most appealing being Bitfenix's alchemy LED strips, due to their easily customisable lengths, however these are costly and hard to obtain within New Zealand .

You might look into the Scythe Gentle Typhoon if appearance is also important. Not LED, but not Noc ugly

i have to of these on my Corsair H50. the only noise from my pc is the fans on my gpu

if i turn them up full ihear them but its not load at all. no louder than my gpu fans running at 50%

double bladed with red led's dont think they make em in another colour tho. i have looked foe any. just not seen any

Finally got my 500r, it is an awesome case

The odd cable hanging out front is for the side fan and you can see in the 5.25" bays where I got lazy with my Sentry 2 fan controller cables

As for the graphics card, that has been the stand in I have had for just under a year now Its a Nvidia geforce 210, and I shall be ordering my Gigabyte windforce 7950 this thursday.

Pretty nice and clean. Is that cooler in its final configuration? It is more effective to push air through the heat-sink rather than pull it. Or is your air flow left to right?

My original plan was to get a Corsair Hydro series cooler, this is a stand in for the crappy stock cooler. I know its very counter productive, but it pulls from left to right, although this fights the rear exhaust fan I have no option as it sticks out an extra 2mm or so over my ram, and doesnt fit. I do still plan on getting a H series cooler, but it will be a while off yet.

Well now I've done it. Since the case fans are quieter (installed the lowest speed adapters), I can hear the drone of the CPU cooler fan, and the irritating ticking of the GPU fan (sounds like a hard drive constantly working). Sooo... on order is a NF-P12 PWM fan for the CPU cooler, and this bad boy for the GPU, the Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 Plus Cooler. Should be more then adequate without any fans as I have great airflow in my case. Should be really quiet, and the GT 240 fans run at 100% all the time, and this one is getting noisier. Will post some pics when I get it installed. A Guy

Just for fun I put my old cases 140mm fan in on the bottom. This fulls all my cases cooling options, although not a permanent option . When I turn everything up its stupidly loud.

Haha, yeah, I made that mistake once too, Was thinking I could silence my rig with new super silent fans and controller...It was as you said more annoying afterwards... And I look forward on seeing those pics,remember "cable management" And that cooler is a beast!


Also for general info, My new chassis FINALLY arrived to day...but I am at work,so can't use it or even open the package till later today

Yup! I will upload a few of the bare chassis,and with my current hardware installed, but i dont have my watercooling stuf yet, so it will e the same inside as my old one.

Here are a few quick shots of the chassis, and some components, When I get my Watercooling stuf I will upload some decent shots, My old chassis I think won with looks,but this one wins hands down with features and quility imho. I added a pic where you guys will see how big this chassis is, I placed it next to a South African Amaroela tree! Anyway,the cable management is not what I wan't t to be,but asoon as I have everything installed and running, I will do them accordingly. Comments and critisism alike is allways welcome.
