Only showing my new laptop in the old stand and I rigged up a sweet magnetic dust filter of my own creation and I'm ready to start taking orders...lol.

Just got a new CPU Cooler,





Corsair H80, found out what the 'H' stands for, on high performance it sounds like a 'H'oover.
On low and med settings it's pretty quiet.

With both fans inside the case the radiator hit the top 140 exhaust fan and wouldn't bolt up, so out it went, will find a cover for it.
Ran Prime95 at 3.36 GHz, stayed just below 50°C, will OC more when time permits...

Just swap those corsair fans for a premium fan like a noctua and you can run wide open and not hear a thing.

Are you using Noctua NF-P12 on yours?

Found these locally, and will probably get them.

The Corsair fans are 900-2550 RPMs, the controller is set for these, not adjustable except with Corsair Link.
The NF-P12 are max 1300 RPM.
Have read that these fans just run at 1300 all the time on the H80/100, though they are quiet.
The Corsair spec for the fan speeds:

According to this they should run at variable speed on the quiet setting.
Likely a mute point as these fans are quiet anyway.

Yes in a big way on the Noc fans. But I did use the two stock Corsairs as pullers on the top of my push/pull config on the H100 as they are black. But the key was to speed control them as they as mentioned are crazy loud at full tilt.



Imagine that the two stock Thermaltake front case fans are pretty beige and brown Noc's. Somehow I've never shot a pic of them.

When I called and asked that very question I can tell you the level of disdain for even asking has me 100% assured they have zero plans to change the color scheme......which by the way isn't that bad and there is no denying the air they push silently.

I'm one of the few that likes the colors, although if you have a side window I can see wanting colors that match well the interior scheme.
