Just got done putting in my new Cooler Master Hyper 212 heatsink. It barely fit into my 430 Elite case and there was some issues with getting the Heatsink's backplate on the back of the mobo, the hole wasn't in the correct position.
The Heatsink is huge compared to the old heatsink which had a 60mm or 90mm fan on it, I put Arctic Silver on it and there is already a 10C drop in temps, but I'll be playing Crysis 2 to get the thermal paste set in.
The second picture should be my old heatsink next to the box for the new one, knowing how big the 212 is, my old heatsink is a toddler compared to the 212
Sorry for the blurry pictures, I'm not very sturdy when is comes to taking pictures.

EDIT: Also while I was at Fry's Electronics I went over to the CPU display and all the Athlon and Phenoms are gone, has the FX series replaced all the other AMD CPUs?

You'll be happy with that cooler. I've never been unhappy with mine

I would if I had the money. I'm thinking about waiting and making a new FX series gaming rig in the future. I hear the FX CPU's are pretty good and AMD fixed a lot of the issues they were having.

Honestly, my 7 year old Dell is still a great pc with Windows 7. I still use it to surf the web and check email sometimes. Especially if I can't be in my bedroom where my primary PCs are, because the dell is in the oposite side of the house. I bet your girlfriend is happy to know she can boot your pc up and she can run the programs that she can't use on Windows 7:D

I modified my Coolermaster laptop cooler with some cold cathodes. I also changed out the USB fans that it came with with a pair of Scythe fans. I used and old 12V transformer to wire the fans and a fan controller so I can adjust the speed.

GPU GTX Gigabyte 970G1
I modified my Coolermaster laptop cooler with some cold cathodes. I also changed out the USB fans that it came with with a pair of Scythe fans. I used and old 12V transformer to wire the fans and a fan controller so I can adjust the speed.
That looks off the hook good undercover Raider fan huh ;) lmao Charger country here

Thx Solor, Well we may not be fans of the same team but one thing i'll bet we have in common is dislike for the Broncos

Just a little old, but you are awesome if you have a Hyper 212 :P. Since I got mine I'm surprised by how many people use it, it is indeed quite popular, and incredibly nice for the price too :D. I am very pleased with the performance I have got from it, a very nice improvement from the stock cooler. I will admit though, my build wasn't made for a tower cooler :P My vengeance ram is too high for the intake fan to intake from the front, where all my intake fans are. Right now it is fighting against my rear exhaust. I also feel the tower subtracts from the clean look I am aiming for. Come my birthday in September I hope to gather the necessary funds for a corsair hydro cooler (Corsair rocks :P).

By the sounds of it, you have put the fan on your 212 on the other side of the cooler, away from the ram? would you not be better then, although still not ideal to turn the fan around so it is pulling air through the cooler and then out the exhaust, as you say to stop it fighting the exhaust?
