Yeah I'm doing that slowly and surely I'll sort it out but it will take time to get the extra bit.

Linnemeyerhere- nice temps, and for a Overclocked cpu to just be in the low 40's is pretty impressive! Last I checked my cpu ran around 47 when oc'ed to 4.3, and thats with a normal h80, so it just prooves how good that dual rad from the h100 really is.

I have to say that these Z series have been great. With my Phenom or the new FX they are a value and still perform. My issue was higher speed without increasing the ram height to where I had to purchase a new case. My H100 fits over them with a business cards gap and if I'd gone with Corsair they'd have never fit.

That is EXACTLY why I went with these:
And well the white will go nicely with the rest of the black and white theme I am trying.

Some RAM vendors seem to think we like heat sinks taller than the RAM itself. Personally I've never had my RAM get beyond slightly warm to the touch.
The new G.Skill Ares series is a low voltage high performance RAM if you can get it.

It's all about the bling. I saw some tests where the tall heat sinks weren't even as well attached as the "normal" ones, so they weren't even as effective. Also, it was mentioned that none of the Ram had very high temps. A Guy

Well... Unless you buy a certain color to match the board,ie: you buy memory with red heat spreaders, for a asus rog board, then I will understand. But most people put a memmory cooler over them anyway( which I am a big fan of) so you dont see the memory, and in most chassis you only see the top thin part of the memory. I am not saying they dont look good, I would much rather buy memory with a nice looking heat spreader then the old normal green clean sticks. But I wont pay more for dominators if I can get vengance or ripjaws cheaper. Wish I could say the same for all the pc hard ware, then upgrading would be allot cheaper

"New" project

Finally I'm getting aroung to installing my Intel parts and pieces into its home, an Inwin Dragon Rider case. This thing is a full tower, bottom mount PSU, and at least 4 case fans.
Today I got a wild hair and decided to paint it blue. With the front panel it'll be black and blue, fitting since I best 'em up so much. I masked it off and left the interior black.

The pics don't show the color right, it is actually much darker like the hat that is seen in one pic.


Updates as I go along. I got in a hurry and didn't take pics of the completely stripped out case.
The yellow circle is the system on my desk which will go in this case.

Gary,have you Benn smoking again? I would have never recognized that as a Dragon Rider. Have you joined a Mods rigs contest? That's really different and looks like a great paint job. I guess I'll have to hire you to mod my case. I'm sure it was very difficult and time consuming to do that, but it's the results that matter most. Nice job on a good looking csre. Now you'll have to buy those blue cable exyensions.

BTW, I got new glasses and can't see they screen or keyboaed. At, lwast I have an excuse tor the misspelled words, not to menton I can't see the screen. Well done.

Thanks Steve, I think you should return those and get new glasses again. All I did was slap some paint on it, nothing fancy. I did one mod which was to remove the front LED's behind the Inwin Logo.

The part that is circled is indeed a Noctua fan...plus the entire system that will go in the case, it's running atop the motherboard box.

That is a small part of my NASCAR collection.

I have ~100 or so I think from 1/64 to 1/18 scale. They are die cast and bought assembled.
