I would give manual overclocking a go, but I have read countless tutorials and such, but still do not feel sufficiently informed to know what to do myself.

As far as the NZXT, it supposedly only fits NZXT cases because of the sizing and gets not so good reviews at Newegg. I really don't know much about the others.

simonwetting, Welcome to Seven Forums. That's some serious lighting going on there. What case is that, it looks like a BitFenix Coloussus, but I didn't know they came with a side window. Nice job, well done. Looks very good. How about filling out your system specs, we want to know what's inside.

yes, it's a bitfenix colossus, they now have a window version. I also have a fan controller for it.

Motherboard: Asus Rampage IV Extreme
CPU: Intel I7 3820K
GPU: Club 3D Radeon HD 7770
Cooling: Corsair H100 + 2 corsair fans + 2 bitfenix spectre pro led 140 mm fans + spectre Pro led 230 mm
RAM: 4 x4 GB G Skill ripjaw Z 1600 mhz(copper plated for extra heat dissipation)
HDD: Western Digital caviar green 2 TB(very slow speed)
SSD: OCZ Vertex 4 256 GB(I"ll buy it when I have enough money and use it for al my software)(only 260 €)

looks proppa nice mate but you are a braver man than me putting ur case on a shelf above ur monitors. if i did that in my house the wall would come down ontop of my rig :( i'd be proppa gutted.

I think i im going out to get this today Micro Center - OCZ Technology Agility 3 AGT3-25SAT3-120G 120GB SATA 6Gb/s 2.5" Solid State Drive (SSD) with SandForce 2281 Controller AGT3-25SAT3-120
Now I'm going to spend some time reading about putting the image on the other drive or cloning
Or would you think just install and do a whole new reinstall ?
I have my Oc settings saved so that shouldnt be a issue correct
Just out of Curiosity is the vertex 4 better ? Because the read and write trumps the V4
good choice chap. i bought the same drive a few wks ago n couldnt be happier with it. reboot time down from 49 to 38 seconds and everything is more or less instant :D
a clean install is the way to go though instead of cloning as u loose trim which will be enabled by default if u do a fresh install.

I got my 7950 running a decent overclock nice and stable now. Went from 900 core, 1250 memory to 1030 core, 1575 memory. I know these cards can go so much higher, but it would appear I drew a short straw with my chip :(.

See thats kind of why im disapointed, I have a Gigabyte Windforce 3x card with very descent cooling, especially compared to the reference design. With the fans on 30% and absolutely silent, low 20s idle, mid 50s load. If I could get the card to go higher I could cool it just fine, but the core doesn't want to play ball :(, people can push their 7950s to the 1200mhz range, sometimes even more, and they out perform reference 7970s.

Yeah,I know what you mean, but my main concern is temps,so when I overclock I try to keep the cards in the same,or close to the same temps as it was before overclocking. And I don't think you can return your card based on the fact that it doesnt overclock as well as the others hehe, But still, that is a respectful oc.

Well yeah. It does have coilwhine, I have considered getting it returned for that reason as it is legitimate, just...difficult. If I asked for my money back, assuming I got it for the original price, I would be like $30 off a 7970 due to price drops. However like I said, RMAs for coilwhine, while possible, are very difficult because it can be hard to replicate well, for example when I run crysis 1, the card sounds like a dying mouse, and yet it is out of the hearing range of some older people...whos to say the guy at the store won't be able to hear it and ill have wasted $30 I dont have shipping it back halfway across the country.

Temps wise its quite good too, stock clocks under load it was still around 50, the temperature increase has been minimal.

Wanted to try something new so I ordered myself a pair of XIGMATEK Dragoon N422 Ram Coolers, first time doing this and I was a bit afraid I would be to rough when I removed the old ram fins on my corsair vengeance ram's but so far it seem to be working, I don't really know how durrable ram sticks are but im glad it all seems to be working

And bought a GTX 560 to replace my old GTX 260 card, and pretty happy about that card temp wise and fan wise, running the fans at 50% and they still make less noise then what the single fan did on the GTX 260

If you removed the factory applied heat spreader you voided your RAM warranty.

I believe the major issue with software overclocks are the resulting temps, a product of another issue, the generally high voltages set by the software. A Guy
Very true but can be used for testing, then use the settings obtained and set them in BIOS or UEFI.:)

Ya, but the vengeance heat spreads feels so cheap, and the ram itself was cheap so if somethind would have happen it would not have been the end of the world, and I gotta learn by trying ^^

I believe the major issue with software overclocks are the resulting temps, a product of another issue, the generally high voltages set by the software. A Guy
Very true but can be used for testing, then use the settings obtained and set them in BIOS or UEFI.:)

That must have been a darn nice upgrade..

You skipped quite a few generations of GPU improvements in one big jump there!

It feels damn nice, but the 2 fans on that card and the 2 fans I have at the side is bringing in way more dust then the old card so I need to find some dust filters now, so I guess it was good and bad, even overclocked it a bit also and its stable at 1000 core clock and 2300 memory at 1.04 running everything on max in heaven
