I am not that fussy, even 1 titan or 2 x 780s would be fine :roflmao:

A couple of the lad's in BSM are now running sli 780's and lovin it. Expensive! but needs must aye.
You can get Titan performance for around £350-£400 now as EVGA have been clearing all 6 series stock and other manufacturers have had to follow. Retailers have been knocking 670's out proper cheap. I think it's nuts man. 2x670's for the price of a 680, Can't be bad

They're creeping back up a bit enit but the MSI Twin FrozR is still the cheapest with an aftermarket cooler.

Here's my new GTX 780 installed in my rig.

There may be trouble in paradise, though. I've got a funny glitch (or screen flicker) but only on monitor 1. It seems to affect the entire system, when I was snipping a screen shot it flickered and terminated the snip before I was ready (like I had released the mouse button).

I may set the CPU and RAM back to default clocks and see if that makes any difference.

This the cable I made the other day for my new sound card. It looks good here but not so great once installed because the bends occurred on the heat shrinks. I'm tempted to do it over, leaving some wire exposed between the shrinks and the connectors to make the 90° bends easier.



Bad as it looked installed, it looks better than the stock cable I had temporarily installed.

It's a pity one can only see the PCB of cards from a normal viewing angle since they usually look cooler from the side you can't see.



I'm still waiting for the front panel audio cable extension to be delivered so I can reroute the front panel cable and connect it to the sound card.

You've done a nice job of the sleeving fairplay!
Would stripping just a couple of mm from the end of the heatshrink not help? as it would save you having to do it all again but leave enough cable exposed to bend it more.

Looks great Kent, you certainly keep your rig clean!

I hope you manage to resolve the glitch, you could try some slightly older drivers for the 780 to see if that makes any difference.

I agree with you on the viewing angle of cards, especially for graphics cards. They look so nice on the other side but sadly the only time you get to see it is before you install it

Lady F you should take some sequential pics when you make up cables and sleeve them along with the tools used.

I thought about that but it would leave the cable too long. I use superglue on the sleeve and shrink so they won't slip on the wire so it would have to be completely redone (although I can reuse the connector bodies; I have the tools for removing pins). If I do redo it, it won't be for a while; I have other things to do with my time. Oh well, live and learn. At least, I already have the materials on hand.

I would do that but I have only two hands and need them both when making up the cables. There are plenty of YouTube videos on cable sleeving floating around.

As well as you understand the approximate bends from one component to the next you may want to pre-bend the wire while heating and shrinking the wrap. This way the wrap will help to hold that shape?
