A straight line is the line a comedian plays off of to get a punch line. When you misspelled Gentle as Gentile (someone who isn't Jewish), that was a straight line I couldn't resist (btw, I wasn't making fun of you, everyone makes mistakes).

Since I'm a Lesbian, I'm gay, not straight. That makes "straight" lines fair game for me to deliver a punch line on. It's a pun of sorts. I'm also a bit wacky.

Drew, I moved from a Haf X and it was my favorite case, until I went the water route. But, This case is not that much larger. I think 2" longer and 1.5" taller. With where mine sits, I don't notice the difference between this one, the HAF X or the Switch 810.

Yeah the problem is is it wouldn't fit in the area I have dedicated for my case....

This it the reason I passed on Corsair's 800D which I really loved. Anyway I really like the design of that Phantek, although I think it's better suited to a water cooling solution which I'm not into.

And I note some of your objections with it but I guess it depends on how you choose to configure your system.

At any rate I'm sure you'll enjoy the case as it gives you lots of options, which is why I like it.

That's a great set up, Drew. I love it. And you're right, it depends on how you configure the system. For air or AIO systems, many of those objections wouldn't be there.

I'm letting my Actric Silver settle in and then I'll play with a little over clock then run benches.

Funny you mentioned the loose back plate as it all tightened up when screwed down but I too had concerns.

The replacement Corsair H80i came and not a gurgle of air to be heard anywhere. My hats off to Corsair as they have really come through and it's no wonder so many here including myself are crazy about their products. Talking to the tech's they were honestly excited for me and to learn about the build. But as easy as the bad H80i came out the new one was way challenging to go back in. Had to take the GPU and Ram out, all cables off and even then it was a bear as you can see space is at a premium. Over all I'm over the moon with the results and even had a chance to make some minor but nice changes. Too tired to start with bios tweaking and OS loading but some pictures for the effort.

btw, you do not need to have the USB cable attached unless you want to control it. what ive don was attach it, and set it up then just unplugged the USB. i dont need it anymore. anyway, the backplate on that h80i... is it REALLY loose before you put on the water block?

mine was incredibly loose so when i put my rig together today, i added some rubber washers on plate, and it seems it is working better. what r your prime load temps?

Ok... PM me your prime results. im really curious. for my CPU at 4.2 @ 1.120v max temp ws 62C on the hottest core.

Here's mine. I built it myself.

I have a 3rd 7970 that isn't installed because I don't actually need it to run anything yet. That's why it's in the image here outside of the case. I'll put it in whenever it actually becomes useful to have it installed.

Here's a stock photo of the cards that are in the machine. Well, this is the 3GB version, but mine are 6GB cards. It looks exactly the same though, so whatever...

I didn't watch the video, but I'll take a wild guess and say you are talking about Tom Logan, If you look up self promotion in the dictionary, his picture will be there. On to other things. As you guys/Gals know, I don't post many picture of my rig. I'm a lousy photographer and my camera is worse. But, the obligatory pictures.I just closed it up, but still have some work to do on it. but here they are. My Specs are fairly accurate.

Nice rig Contrabardus. That's a massive case and crazy graphics power. You could mine a few bitcoins with 3 x 6gb 7970's! Also makes an excellent room heater.....lol.

@ Alan, I have been following your build over the last week or so and it has turned out very nice, it looks like a real cool little build with a lot of power and some nice little touches . Nice work bud

Seems there has been a lot of building going on recently. I myself was doing a build all day yesterday for Jess' Dad, it all went pretty well and was fully up and running with all drivers and updates on by 9PM yesterday.
Specs below, I only managed to take a couple of really bad pics as it was very dark and I was tired, but you get the idea.

Very nice and clean, Paul. Just like all your other builds. I'm sure Jess' Dad is really enjoying it. I know I would. Temps on mine are better,just not massivly better. Depending on what voltage you are running, about 7-12 C better. But, that can make a difference on high overclocks. Very nicely done on your build, as always. Jess's dad owes you a six pack for that one.
