Are you actually getting 175 Mbps down or is it 17.5 Mbps ?

Megabit per second(Mbps) is how internet speeds are measured and is easily translated to Megabyte per second(MB/s) by dividing by 8. He probably does have around 175Mbps down since he states his upload speed is 25Mbps. His speed in MB/s would be 21.875MB/s down and 3.125MB/s up.

So here is a little shaky video over view of my i7 rig and an attempt to tame not one but two crazy bright leds in my sound card. It worked to wrap the entire led in black electrical tape so only the extreme end is exposed.

And a cording to speed test its 175 so mpre then likely 17.5 or the other math he did

Just a thought Alan.
If your red lights are 12V try installing them 5V.

Under volting should not hurt you lights. They should either be less bright or not work at all. I have done it and they are just less bright.
I use a spare power supply to test such things.

Jack, The led's are soldered onto the sound cards mainboard. At first I though they were friction fit and I could pull them out but no their soldered. Then I was just going to clip them off the mainboard but then I got the idea to dull them some and so far I'm happy with the results.

I must admit, that still looks like a crazy amount of light to have coming from inside a case.. Not sure how well I would deal with that all the time. Lately I've been aiming more and more for components that don't have built-in LEDs in favour of adding my own, as and where I need them. Still haven't decided on the lighting for my new build (which I'm starting next weekend, by the way...) but it will most definitely have a separate switch for the lights when it's done.

Things have finally calmed down a bit now that I've finished moving house.. So I at long last got a chance to redo the cabling on my 600T build.

Unfortunately I also ran into a small snag though. Turns out I didn't get all the cables I was expecting.. Still need one more SATA and two more GPU cables, but it is starting to look pretty damn sweet already. Final touches will be ditching the pulsing lights on the two KFA2s (mod) and the green-LED CPU cooler (possibly replace).

Hmmm... I didn't notice my front-fan wire until now. I'll be sure to hide that one before taking pics again.

Sleeving the front fan cable would make it a lot easier to hide. You could also turn the front fan so the wire comes out in a different direction.
It's very hard to hide cables in a white case unless they are sleeved white.

Yup, it's getting there, slowly but surely. Over the coming weeks (read: some evenings and weekends) I'll have a lot more time to myself than I've had recently, so I'll get time to actually put some of my plans into effect. Really looking forward to it..

I'll definitely be turning the fan though; with the cable coming out of the back corner I can hide it quite easily and pop it through one of the many holes in the motherboard mounting plate. Pretty sure I've still got some black sleeving left in my box tricks, so I might even do that too. Will keep the cable combs in mind, thanks for the link.

Oh the things we do in the name of "beautiful machines".. But I can't deny the fact that it's so much fun.

If you have seen some of my picks you will notice I spend a lot of time with cable management.
It does take a lot of time and you can't get in a hurry.
I have a 600T so I do have a idea what you are working with. I replaced the Corsair 200mm fans because they didn't move enough air to blow out a match.
