I bought an Antec 920 for it, but didn't think I could get it in. I was wrong, but I put a Thermaltake Frio in it with Noctua fans on it. If I had to do it again, and may, I may go custom water on it. I may as well, the whole thing is way overkill for an HTPC. I mean an Asus Maximus Gene, 3770K and 6950 for an HTPC is ridiculous. I may sell the board as you have trouble finding Z77 stuff any more. I thought about selling the CPU too, but I'd never get what it is worth to me. 5GHz @ 1.35V, you don't find every day.

EDIT: Maybe I will sell my Sabertooth. I just saw it on Amazon for $960.00 or sell my Maximus Extreme, it's on there for $1,999.

Hmmm... I forgot about RebelTech; used them before, not the most amazing service but definitely not the worst. Already have two sets of single drive 3.5-5.25" adapter brackets on the way though, so if I'm not happy with those, I might go for the Lian Li cage.

thanks guys! now if only i could get these temps under control... hits hitting 75C under prime at 4.5GHz and 67C under gaming load...

those temps are acceptable but what i was telling through face book for that speed if shouldn't be over 75c when running those test because that's a light OC with a waterblock

My same board and CPU do about the same temps, for Prime, I don't game. With a closed loop cooler. H80i.

i attached the 2nd fan an it made a 2 degree difference lol

IMO those temps are high for 1.184V at 4.5Ghz

idle temps are in the high 30's to low 40's.

What do you expect, it`s hot out. If I put the air on the temps come way down. It`s perfectly normal to have those temps.

i know! im stumped. this is the 2nd time i reseated it with and without the backplate mod. without the backplate mod, i got 85C in prime at 4.5. with the mod, i got 76C.... idk, i may have to RMA it if i still can.

i just re-seated and still same fricken temps...

at 4.2GHz i get up to 65C on prime after a few mins... about 57C in game...

I go to 65-75c for a few seconds running IBT at the high setting, I think you`re fine.

But then maybe it`s the Corsair cooler, before I got my Thermaltake I tried a Corsair H60, I sent it back, I thought the temps were terrible.
