I have had no issues with it nor have the 3-4 others I personally know. Very good PSU in my opinion. For the ground wire I unscrewed on of the top 4 screws on the PSU and screwed it back in with the ground wire connected. NO problems here.

Also, there is plenty of slack, the 1200 is a full tower and the cord goes behind the mobo tray and back out. It will work fine for you.

Thank you very much. I appreciate it. I will be getting it. I ordered a black and green case, so I didn't want to get a blue L.E.D. PSU (I was gonna order the Raidmax Hybrid 2 modular PSU because of the bad reviews ABS got), but this once is so sweet and I think it will look good in my case. I wish I had a bottom mount like your's though. The Antecs are just too much IMHO. Maybe I will treat myself to a full tower next year or after the summer.

Salute to you gangler, we're running pretty darn similar systems. And I'm upgrading to a GTX 285 ASAP! With such a great case though, you should really put in some cable management time!

Just got my setup placed into it's new home, a brand new Cooler Master CM 690 Chassis! Here are some pictures of my build, I've yet to do any hardcore cable management but I'll be getting to it after I install a window on the side panel.

The case, all sealed up and ready to go:

Case top external connection ports:

Underside ventilation and 140mm Scythe side panel fan:

Hard drive bays:

Current cable management shots:

General case interior:

And the reason I need a side window:

I'm also thinking of cutting a small channel on the backside of the mother board tray to take some pressure off the side panel. It's currently bending do to the huge pile up of cable behind the motherboard tray, even with it all spaced out... This new case is in preparation for a new modular power supply (ABS Tagan) and a new graphics card (Nvidia GTX 285). You may have noticed that I propped off the Cooler Master logo from the front of the case, I just like the "clean" look without any branding showing, so it had to go. I also mentioned the side panel window earlier, if anyone has any recommendations or information regarding side panel window installations, it would be great to hear!

Hello Freelancer.

I don't know where you're at, so I don't know if you have access to Newegg, but have a look, this will give you some ideas; maybe at least you can use the part numbers to look elsewhere.

CM Side Windows

EDIT: I just noticed you have another style case than these windows (that bottom one may be the one) but I'm going to leave this post here anyway, as it may help you or others.

Later ;) Ted

This is the one designed for my case, but I think it looks fugly. I ordered a 12" x 12" window kit from FrozenCPU.com and I'll be using that one instead! The top and bottom window kits on that page are for the CM COSMOS cases.

Close to the same DVD burner, mine has some slightly different logos. I dont' really remember what mine are, except that one is a 16x DVD burner, one is 8x burner, and they're both super-multi burners...

Getting my GTX 285 tomorrow hopefully!

runs really great, i tried OS X with problems w/ wifi, stability. then i tried Windows 7 and its so much better in every way. I honestly preferred OS X for a long time, but since using Windows 7 I really like the microsoft OS platform again. Laptop is now very snappy, no driver issues yet, awesome.

I need to upgrade my motherboard to an eVGA nForce 780i SLI FTW so that I can overclock my CPU better. The Asus Striker Extreme did an awesome job at overclocking my original Core 2 Duo E6600 but there's some manufacturers errors that prevent it from overclocking quads very well.

I'm going to save up some money and get the new motherboard at the same time that I get my new modular PSU. Most likely an ABS Tagan BZ 800 Watt...

I personally wouldn't go with the 750i series. Depending on what you want to do I'd get the 780i or 780i FTW edition. The 780i is a rock solid motherboard, and the FTW edition just adds a slew of quality features for overclocking and increased performance.

@ Abiosis:

Looking at the internals of that XPS makes my head hurt... It looks so unorganized and cluttered. No wonder it requires all those fans for decent airflow! lmao!

I am not going to be overclocking or doing anything really involved.

I am comparing the two 750i's right now. For $25 the FTW model looks way better :D

I have the EVGA 750i FTW and it is a fairly good board but it does lack some features and has some issues that you might want to know about.

1. It runs very hot

2. You need to use the chipset fan which directs hot air directly on to the back of your GFX card.

3. The fan it very noisy and will be the noisiest part of your entire PC, just to cool your chipset

4. It only has 4 SATA ports and they are all angled towards the front panel.

5. Don't use the supplied SATA cables as they do not fit correctly and will result in breakage of the SATA port, (I have 2 that are broken already, but I was able to repair them with supper glue :o)

6. There is only one internal USB header, so you will only be able to use it for the front panel.

On the other hand, I have had a very stable computer and and it suits my need for the time being, some good points are.

1. Overclocks very well, (I have my E8500 @ 4.5Ghz)

2. Works well with Windows 7, (No driver issues and very stable)

3. Can run SLI at full x16 speed with both cards, although I have not personaly been able to test this yet.

4. fairly good value for money

5. If you live in the US you will have the stepup option if you want to upgrade, (Unfortunately I live in Australia and don't have that option).

6. Supports all Intel CPU's aside from the i7's

7. You can Reset the CMOS with a button instead of having to remove batteries or changing jumpers, located at the bottom.

8. All solid capacitors, for better stability and durability.

I'm sure ther is more but that's all I can think of ATM, good luck deciding :D

^ hmmm...

a question then:

780i - Total: $179.99
750i - Total: $159.99

So for $20 up front I should go with the 780i correct?
I hate rebates anyways... Ends up being a $50 difference after rebates.... but they take FOREVER and I hate them
