Nicely done Pparks. I too have a bit of OCD and after you telling me how bad I sucked I spent yesterday tidying up. I spent an hour or two on it and didn't get too far. I need some extensions. It's just too tall. I still love it. I don't care how bad you think it is.

Don't worry mate, have a look at mine; clutter doesn't bother me and it still has good airflow, the sys temp hovers around 32/34c.

I wasn't that mean about it...and I certainly didn't say that you sucked. It's just that you mentioned getting some custom work done and making case windows and it seems like you want want a beautiful work of art inside the case if you were going to show it off

My coworkers saw me build my machine in the office...as that is where I had all of the parts shipped. They kept checking back saying...I don't see that much progress. Probably took me about 2 hours or so to get everything wired in the way that I liked it. One guy said, won't it be swell if you turn it on and nothing happens and you have to tear it all back out to troubleshoot? I was like, Gulp....

At the end of the day, it often doesn't matter. As long as cooling isn't impaired and your PC performs well..that's what really counts. Plus, my case has no Windows or otherwise in it...so unless I invite somebody over and hold them down and force them to look in the PC...nobody will ever know that it's tidy inside.

I understand. I am almost OCD about looks. That's most of the reason I got a case with no window this time. I just could not get it looking the way I wanted it.

I don't mind the constructive criticism. It made me spend some time getting things tidied up. I see some of these pro systems and wonder how they do it....a lot of practice I guess.

I am getting some extensions btu I will wait for my new board and i5 (or i7) whatever is better when the i5s come out.

Anyway, we can still be friends. haha

@BFK - nice looking system there mate! I just love hardware and wish I could build custom computers all day. Even building inexpensive systems is fun. I love it and have done 4 or 5 now.

Thanks Nate. :)

That's the first machine I've built; I now have the PSU (Corsair 1000HX) and the case (Cosmos RC-1000) this is going to need some ventilation mods) for the i7 system I'm planning, like a lot of us, I too am waiting for the i7/i5 question to be answered. I wish I had the money to build these things all the time. ;)

I don't need a handle and mine has the ventilated side so I could add an extra intake fan to it. I first used the Cosmos RC-1000 which I still have, it has ventilation problems so I got the 690. ;)

1x Koutech 3Gb/s SATA HDD Hot Swap Rack
Lancool PC-K62 case

Here's a new rig I built. Lancool PC-K62. It has 3-140mm and 1-120mm fans and is completely tool less. Cable management is the best I have seen on any case. Check out the thumb screws for installing the mobo! SSD drives bolt right into the HD sled. I could go on and on. The best part........$109 I would highly recommend this case. It's better than my Lian Li PC-B70 and it was almost 2.5X more $$ Check out this video review if you're interested. Have a great day! (BTW it's not finished yet so I will hide most other cables too)
