I bet the 860 will tear through PS2 emulation at 3.6 and above. PS2 emulation is heavy on the processor right now so it is one hell of a stress test

Haha, I am VERY happy with it and the P55 Gigabyte board is nice too. I'm glad I did it. I should have waited for some more reviews but.....I like taking risks.

I'm going to start with the 920 and when my rich uncle gets out of the poor house I'm going to get the 975; actually it's the 1366 I really want, as you know!

I posted this in the "Today" thread but, upon good advice, I'm putting it here, too.... new mini keyboard and all.

Then jfar asked for a pic of my main rig. Soooooo..... I'm adding this picture of my main "tangle of wires."

Today I finished up my low power Windows Home Server. Intel Atom 330/ION platform with 4GB RAM and 2TB of green storage. The ION is overkill because its graphics capabilities aren't necessary and it goes against the low power concept.... but it can be booted in headless mode. I loaded up Windows 7 x64 RTM for a shakedown run and it purrs like a (silent) kitten. The Atom 330 runs x64 fine, so it will be able to handle the next edition of Windows Home Server, codename Vail.
I'll probably migrate to the new one next week and retire the ol' Dell Dimension 8100.

The size is deceiving. It's only about the size of an Xbox 360; not as tall but a little thicker.

So NCIX somehow broke the second monitor I ordered from them before they shipped to me. Now I'm waiting on a brand new Samsung SyncMaster 2443BW to arrive which I'll make into my middle monitor I guess...
