SMOKKINU, how do you like the Saitek Cyborg keyboard? I was thinking of getting a new keyboard eventually and it was either going to be a Razer Lycosa or some Saitek board. I need Blue LED's though, the other colors just don't do it for me.

Good Morning All (East Coast U.S. time)

Had some issues/problems with ordering the Samsung T240 24" Monitor.... NOT on NCIXUS's side!! It was on my banks side... ugh.

To make a long story short.... Purchased with Bank of America Card #xxxx but Bank of America said that they had to send me a new card (with new card #) because my card possibly was compromised..... Five days after they send the new card my old card (the one I used to purchase the 24" LCD)...

NCIXUS was GREAT! Harley is the gentleman I spoke with. Called me back within 20 mins or less. Informed me to speak with my Bank (which was pretty easy also). Activated my new card and called Harley back and he finished the transaction with the new card! The monitor has not been shipped yet but so far it's been good! :D

Well, I didnt want to get it at first, i just wanted a generic microsoft one... but the store did not have any. (Best Buy)

So I went over too the gaming keyboards, and there were some for $100...$150......one for almost $300

Then I saw the saitek cyborg for $59 so I said screw it....

Initially, I thought the lights were kinda "Ricey" but they have slowly grown on me. they can change color, from red, to light red, to orange, to light green, to bright green and back to red.... you can also change color on individual sets... so during games like COD5 WAW, I got the entire keyboard green, except for the WASD keys, they are bright red... makes it easy to see them at night ;)

You can turn the lights off during normal use... but i just leavem on now..... it has grown on me and I love it.

It has a USB port on the right side, along with two audio jacks, one for audio IN and one for speakers... I use the USB for my ipod, and the others for my headset and mic.

there IS a slight issue....atleast on my setup. If i mess with the BIOS more then once before booting up, the PC doesnt recognize the keyboard, so i must reach around, unplug the keyboard USB plug (There are two USB plugs for this keyboard, one for the USB hub on the keyboard, and one for the keyboard itself.) and immediatley plug it back in, and then it lights up and is fine.... as far as i can tell its an issue with all PC's and Mouse/Keyboard USB setups.

Do you find that you use the "Cyborg" keys very much? The ones that are located along each side of the keyboard? I'm not sure if I'll ever really use those macro keys for anything, and it's basically my deciding factor.

at first, i did NOT use them, but after installing the software and trying them out, Call of Duty 5 World at War is ALOT more easier.....i can use my thumb while using the mouse, and tap the side keys on the right and toss grenades and such :)

Hi SMOKKINU,

I was looking into this KB and the 3 biggest things people seemed to have a problem with is poor typability, slippery keys and a clunky spacebar that doesn't always register.

Have you had any problems like that? Also, what are the keypresses like, do they register light taps or need a hefty press?

i have not had any of those issues above. it is very well built imho. typing is a breeze and comfortable.

no probs with the keys either.... the WASD keys do have a metallic coating on them to differe tiate them feom the others but does not bother me.

Cool. Thanks mate. Even though it's fugly and looks like the dashboard from the original Knight Riders KIT, it's fugly enough to be likeable and is a hell of a lot cheaper than the G19. ($300+ in Australia. I even saw one online retailer selling it for $425! NFW!)
